French Toast Waffles
4-6 slices bread
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1 egg, beaten slightly
1/2 C. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)

Combine all ingredients, except the bread. Dip the slices into the mixture, coating both sides, but not drenching. Cook the french toast in a well oiled, hot waffle iron until crisp.
This recipe makes 4-6
